Hi there, Our students have been hard at work getting ready with our ads for Pajama Patrol. We are looking for new pairs of pajamas to be donated to children in need by Dec. 15th. Our students are also collecting toiletries to support our local Kanata Food Bank. Thank you for your continued support! Only 15 more days of school. Stay healthy and well. I hope that everyone had a family focused weekend. I am so happy that our students at Holy Redeemer have remained safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued effort to remind children to hand wash and wear their masks. They are all doing a great job every day. We are almost finished our Numeration strand in Math. Students are working on their slide decks to present in another week. In Science we continue to learn about the different systems of the human body. Individual Education Plans will be going home this Thursday. Please review and contact the school if you have any questions or concerns. We finally have access to the gym! We will continue to learn our choreography to the Michael Jackson song Thriller to finish up by Halloween. I have hinted we may do our dance for the primary students. It's coming along nicely! Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you again for your continued support. A huge shout out to the grade 5 students for making it through September. We are finally getting into our groove and getting more productive during the day. We now sanitize and wash our hands without the reminders after every recess or leaving and entering the class.
Our gym is slowly coming back to life and we have tomorrow afternoon booked for our dance lesson. A big thank you to Mme. Colasante for being a top notch choreographer and helping us learn the steps to Thriller. We hope to have our moves ready by Halloween. A big thank you to all of the parents who have supported their kids with messages of safety and the importance of wearing a mask when in contact with friends. Thank you again to all of the parents for your continued support and encouragement. Don't forget to wear your orange shirt this Wednesday September 30th in support of Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada.

It turns out I just never felt like cleaning them before.
This week your work is similar to what I would send home for homework. I can't be there to teach you the symmetry but the Khan academy video is better than one I was going to make! Keep learning and see/hear Google Hangout with you on Tuesday at 10:00am Mrs. Moss Hello to all my grade 5 friends. I hope this blog finds you healthy and maybe a little settled into a routine at home. It has been extremely trying times for everyone so my message is to just relax and do what you can with school work. We have worked so hard at school so a few weeks off won't harm our progress. We all work so hard in the classroom.
Please be safe with your family. Practise your manners and keep yourself busy with things to do that you enjoy. I miss all of you! |
