So glad you're in my class!!! Dear Parents, I would like to welcome you back to an exciting new year in grade 5. I hope you all had a wonderful and restful summer. This is my 6th year at Holy Redeemer and my 20th year of teaching. I am looking forward to a productive partnership to ensure your child can achieve their highest potential. I recognize that in order to be successful in school, children need support from both home and school. I ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she: 1) Attends school daily and arrives on time. 2) Completes weekly homework assignments. 3) Shares school experiences with you so you follow their learning journey. 4) Knows that appropriate behaviour is expected at all times. 5) Takes care of personal belongings and technology. 6) Continues to take risks in their learning. I look forward to meeting you on our School Parent Night on Wednesday September 11th at 6:00pm - 7:00pm. The first week of school will consist of many “get to know you” activities while I get to know the students and they get to know me. I will be teaching grade 5 Math, English, Religion and Family Life in the morning. In the afternoon I will be teaching grade 5 Science, Physical Education, Health, Art and Drama. French and Social Studies will be with Mme. McCaffrey, Mme. Colasante or Mme. DesRochers in the afternoon. ** Please sign and return the Acceptable Use of Technology form, the Play Structure Use form as well as the Homework Pledge. A special thank you for paying the required Student Activity Fee on line (see link below) $35.00. Chrome books are necessary learning tools. Students are strongly encouraged to bring their own chrome book as they will be used daily in class. We have 10 chrome books to share. Sharing headphones is discouraged for sanitary purposes.
